Dr. Michael DeHaan

Dr. Michael DeHaanMichael DeHaan, MD is a general surgeon, board certified by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. DeHaan graduated from the University of Illinois, School of Medicine in 1985 and completed his training at Rush Presbyterian St. Lukes Medical Center in 1991. He is trained in all areas of general surgery, with special interests in breast cancer, dialysis access, abdominal cancers and advanced laparoscopic techniques. He has received awards of special recognition during both his medical school and residency and has served as the administrator and chief resident of surgery training. Dr. DeHaan has been a frequent lecturer in surgical care at a variety of locations and was awarded the West Suburban Medical Center Department of Surgery Teaching Award. He has served on numerous boards and committees, including the medical executive committee where he served as Vice Chairman of the Department of Surgery and Secretary Treasurer of the medical staff. Dr. DeHaan is committed to solving patient problems as efficiently and reliably as possible.
